i. Present tense. i) Simple present tense. (sub+v1/V5+object)
The simple present is used: To express universal/ general truths The sun rises in the east. Water boils at 1000C. Blood is red. The earth moves round the sun.
To express habitual actions/ regular actions
She takes a glass of milk every morning. I always go to temple. He never has wine. Generally, simple present is used with the following adverbs.
always/ seldom/ daily/ usually/ occasionally/ hardly/ now-a-days/rarely/ sometimes/ never/ generally/ frequently/ often/ everyday/ every week/ every month/ every year/ once a week/ twice a day/ trice a month
